IIM-B: CAT to go online this year

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore has announced that the Common Admission Test (CAT) of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow and Shillong is going to be a Computer Based Test (CBT) from this year onwards.

Candidates seeking admission to the two years PGP of Rajiv Gandhi-Indian Institute of Management, Shillong need to apply separately to the institute.

The deadline for Applications is extended to 22.01.2008 and downloaded applications Posted on or before 22.01.2008 and received before 30.01.2008 will only be considered. Candidates seeking admission can either apply on-line or download, Print and forward application form by speed post.

CAT 2007: IIM lists 40 suspects

Two fake students were arrested while appearing CAT 2007 in Chandigarh.  Police took the action after IIMC lodging a complaint regarding the possibility of few students appearing the exam on phony names.
