SHOULD COMPANIES GO FOR FRESH MANAGERS OR PREFER EXPERIENCED
Hello everybody this is my first post and i would like to have ur views on this topics.
i have some pts but i m not able to conclude them.
->The govt increased the age for retirement from 58 to 60
-> Why should companies go for those whom they have to teach everything
->But in a country like india where most of the people are within the age limit of 25-35,y not youngesters!!
->Experienced are able to handle the things in a beeter way
that all i can contribute!!
plz participate
ur participation will help large number of cat aspirants!!
thank you!!

AS U MENTIONED THAT MAX CHUNK OF OUR POPULATIONS R YOUNGSTERS WHY NOT GIVE THEM CHANCE TO HANDLE THE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES.IT IS D NEED OF HOUR .THESE YONGSTERS R MORE ENHSISTIC AND LIVELY. WIH THEIR NUANCE IDEAS THEY CAN HANDLE THIS JOB WELL

Companies should look forward to recruit more and more fresh managers. There are few valid reasons, which I would use to bolster my stand.
First, experience comes with work and above all, with an opportunity. Unless, an opportunity is given to the fresh guns to learn things at workplace and showcase their talent, they will not be transformed into seasoned managers.
Second, nowadays things or rather market scene is changing very frequently and dynamically. In order to keep you in sync (updated) with such a rapid change, one needs to have a desire to learn. I feel the YOUTH has a desire learn things. In addition to that, they can learn and grasp the concepts at a faster rate as compared to the older ones.
Third, the younger generation has lesser responsibilities on their shoulders as compared to the older lots. This lesser responsibility (in terms of family tensions and financial burdens) increases their risk taking initiatives. This in turn leads to at times unexpected, but wonderful returns.
Fourth, the younger generations as being less burdened with responsibilities can keep themselves more mobile and so, can be ready for transfers to new locations. In some cases it can benefit the organization hiring them to a great extent. E.g. an organization setting up a new unit at a remote place, where the older and experienced lots, in order to avoid joining can site personal reasons, and may be can switch their jobs.
Fifth, the younger generations, being bred in the current environment are more up to date, and are untouched with the problems that arise due to generation gaps. This makes them understand their employees' problems more clearly, and which in turn makes the manager-resource relationship better and benefits the organization greatly.
But, before I put down my pen, I would like to mention that the older and seasoned ones have an upper edge in terms that they have the benefit of experience in their kitty. This can be used beautifully to enhance the younger lots, and to give them a more clear vision of the future. This will help them to develop ideas, which is the most essential key to become a successful manager.

I feel that there should be a proper mix of bith, coz the fresh managers bring with them new ideas. They have a fresh outlook towards life, the enthu. But enthu is just not everything, u need to hv the right approach, a clear idea of what ur actions might lead to. This comes with experience.
And the existing manager have it. Somebody of you might argue tht why shall a company should go for some one who is not that experienced.. The foremost thing which is harsh reality of life is that everybody here works with a selfish motive, everybody weighs the personal cost of every thing, and taking a employee who is less experienced maens paying him less, thus saving on the cost. And the truth is a fresher has urge to work. nd desire to establish his position, so a fresher gets ready to do a work which an experienced resource might not agree to. And with growing population, especially in country like India we have intelligence in abundance. So You always have option. In india most of the people are in age of 25-35
As i personally feel the talents described earlier may be one of the strongest reason to support the fact that freshers must be hired in a number more than actually happening in our country.
But just keeping only in mind the facts like innovation or creativity, the enthusiasm, different outlook over problems, company progress can be destined only.
To provide it real success in market or to sustain it, a major part is played by the key members of organization who are the experienced ones only.
Whatever the youngsters learn through book is only the analysis & efforts done by experienced person. we use to go through in our curriculum to study the situations faced by organization in their past that forced them to doing analysis of such problem & solved them with the help of their senior management if same kind of situation occurred only. Still if the situation is never faced before, the experienced persona use to simulate the same with their experiences & overall pros/cons that help them or even us in our studies to understand the consequences & long term effect provided by the solution at that time.
Now the question come;
Are youngsters not able to face new challenges?
So my answer will be. yes they are but by just keeping their academics, awards & experiences for 2-3 years can't make us eligible for being the major stake holder of the company.
But this really is not going to lessen demand of freshers if you have talents & different approach of solving problems with a keen interest in learning & having a positive attitude over situations, It just say that you need some experiences & over all a guidance to utilize your knowledge & skills for betterment of organization as well as of an individual.
Now keeping money part in our mind so just think.
Why do company provide a good salary along with position to experienced person?
you have the answer now.
So it's not the balance we need of in freshers & experienced. What we need of the freshers who want to learn & put their innovation into action under the guidance of some experienced person.
This ratio can differ from organization to organization based on needs, company profile, area of expertise & much more.
I personally feel that the freshers should be given to chance to carry forward the load of an organization. Agreed that the experienced ones are better off in tackling certain situations.Agreed that they would also have the idea to do it, but then how many days will you be having them.Till they are 60.By that time alot of freshers would also have got old.I would like to take up a simple example in the game of Cricket(Agreed that Cricket is different and the acyual challenge in the work life is different, but just a valid example). We all know that India Won its Worl Cup Title in the year 1983 under the Great Kapil Dev. Kapil has been one of the Great all-rounders India has ever Produced. But how many days can u keep him. Can we say that he's our World Cup Winning captain and still play him so that India Can win the 2011 World Cup. Not possible. Next, take Sachin. The GOD in the game of Cricket. He himself has said that he does not want to play in T20 because he des not want to disturb the balance. After the 1983 World Cup Title, it was the young Brigade of India Led by a youngster MS Dhoni whih Won India a T20 World Cup Title. Why is this? Because of the Enthusiasm, the Courage and the Will to take risk. I am not telling that the Experienced lot do not have enthusiasm to succeed but surely the Younger Freshers are the one who have the Courage to take a Risk. You have to find out new ways to succeed and that new fresh ideas are with the younger ones. They might not be successful immediately but they hold the Future. We should not forget one thing that the Experienced ones also were Freshres once.

should prefer fresher manager because lets take an ex of indian cricket team the way the youngsters handled the criticle situation and now they r in the search to become the top most
i think companies should go for freeshers.they have lot of zeal.their knowledge is upto date. experienced on the other hand work with their earlier experience. youth have main focus on their career. they give their
complete dedication to their work.they are full of new ideas whereas expereinced mind is full of their household problems.with the age effeciency
also decreases. frenshers can work for more hours.but experienced are also needed as they have valuable treaure of experience.the companies should have mixture of both.they can guide the freshers.so both have their own importance
Definetly it is an era of new generation so that the new and creative ideas could divert the whole world in a more fruitful direction. As the requirtment of fresh menegers is concerned, companies should have sharp eyes for selecting those guys.freshers should be hired as a manager but they shuld have less responsibility.there should not be burden of responsibilities.as the time will pass ,their potential will increase and they will be able to take more responsibilites then earlier.for this companies should think more on creating managers rather then hiring managers. So companies must hire fresher's bt shold be loded with lesser responsibilities so that they can adopt this position and can increase their potential
well i feel the company can go in fr freshers if they have adequate number of experienced already with them coz just with a innovative approach things can t be handled we need experienced to guide the frshers even our young cric team needs players like sachin to help them sm time . So there must be a balance between the fresh and experinced talents
